  • Registration opens for Volunteers and Guests October 15th.

    As of January 14th, 2024, Night to Shine registration has reached maximum capacity, and is now closed.

  • Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs, ages 14 and older. More than 600 churches/collaborations around the world that will host Night to Shine simultaneously on Friday, February 9th, 2024 and we are one!

    The Tim Tebow Foundation has a great passion for people with special needs, and in 2014 launched “Night to Shine.” The vision was simple… work with churches around the country to provide an incredible prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs, ages 14 and older.

    Our event is a local Night to Shine event hosted at Outer West Community Church in San Antonio, Texas. Our Night to Shine event is a collaboration between Outer West Community Church and Alamo Community Church.

    Join us for a prom night that you will never forget! Walk the red carpet, enjoy the royal treatment, and dance the night away!

  • For the volunteers, the dress code is black or khaki pants or jeans with a black shirt or a Night to Shine shirt (provided for you). Pants must not have any holes or tears in them. No hats are allowed. Flip-flops are not allowed.

    For the Guests, we encourage ladies to wear a gown and men to wear a suit or tux.

    If you are a Buddy, we ask that you also wear formal attire.

  • If you are a Guest partaking in the event, the dress code is a gown for the ladies and a suit or tux for the men.

    However, this is your night, so dress as you would like as long as it is appropriate attire!

  • Night to Shine is fully funded through donations from local churches, organizations, and generous members of the community. All donations are tax deductible, and we will provide all of our donors with this information.

    We also offer different levels of sponsorship! If you are interested in being a sponsor, please contact us.

  • All volunteers must be at least 16 years old. If they are under the age of 18, they are required to sign a waiver, which must include a signature from their parent or guardian.

    The waiver will be be accessible from the Volunteer Registration Form.

  • A Buddy is a volunteer responsible for assisting and providing companionship to their assigned Guest throughout the evening, including sitting with them during dinner and engaging in conversation.

    Buddies must be 18 years old, have an up-to-date background check, have attended an in-person training at Outer West, and be ready to have some fun!

  • Through Night to Shine, we want to honor the incredible parents, family members, and caretakers for their lifetime commitment to caring for their loved ones with special needs.

    The Respite Room, located at Alamo Community Church (just a few miles from Outer West), offers caretakers a chance to take a well-deserved night off. While they relax, they can have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are enjoying themselves in a safe, friendly, and Christ-centered environment, each with a dedicated companion. The Respite Room provides comfortable seating, food, beverages, and entertainment. An alternative Respite Room will be available at Outer West for caretakers who prefer to stay on-site.

  • This event is open to all people with special needs and all qualified volunteers. It is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, a Christian organization and is being hosted at Outer West Community Church.
